Since I was a little girl, I have loved these flowers.
My mom used to give me oral flower quizzes,
and I have fond memories of our garden nursery visits.
I wish that I could place fresh flowers in every room of my house.
I'm a firm believer that flowers possess a healing power.
Hey, whatever happened to Grandma's hydrangea bushes?

Love your pictures - the sunflowers especially. Something so uplifting about sunflowers.

And I loved (in a laughing out loud way) your comment on having crushes on "ancient" newscasters!! Anderson Cooper would be mortified to know he was thought of as being ancient - he's 41, 42 in June. He refers to himself as middle-aged like he contracted leprosy or something.

You sound delightful - I have a daughter your age and your writing reminds me of her.

I second your belief. Actually Ken and I just planted a bunch of marigolds and something else I dont' remember the name of in our front yard this weekend! Permission to live vicariously through me.
